M i n d f u l c o o k i n g  

COCONUT MASALA CHAI 

Ingredients 
 
1 cup of water 
2 cups of coconut milk 
2 ½ tsp of loose tea leaves or 3 teabags 
½ inch of cinnamon 
2-3 green cardamoms 
2 cloves 
1-inch ginger 
3 tsp of raw or brown sugar  
Method 
 
1. In a saucepan heat ½ a cup of water and add the cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and ginger. 
 
2. Boil the spices with the water for 2-3 mins. 
 
3. Add the tea and raw or brown sugar (optional) and boil for a couple of minutes. 
 
4. Add the coconut milk and boil again for 3-4 mins. 
 
5. Strain the tea into cups or a teapot and serve.
